What Products are Swaps

Here is a visual presentation of what types of products are considered to be swaps, security-based swaps and those deemed to be outside the CFTC and SEC definitions of swaps under joint rules implemented in 2012. This relates to the regulation of derivatives under Dodd-Frank. There is a second graph here, also courtesy of the law firm Sidley Austin, that visually displays what types of products fall under the SEC, the CFTC and cross into the jurisdiction of both regulators.
